Welcome! I am an NSF-funded Postdoctoral Researcher in the Magmatic Onset, Storage, Triggering, and Eruption Research (MOnSTER) Lab at Montana State University. I earned my Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from Montana State University in 2024, where I specialized in volcanology and geochemistry. Prior to that, I received my B.A. in Geology, with a minor in Geospatial Information Science and Technology, from UC Berkeley in 2017. My professional journey has taken me from Yellowstone National Park, where I worked as a Guest Scientist and Geoscience Technician from 2017 to 2019, to Alaska, where I spent six months as a NSF-INTERN with the U.S. Geological Survey Alaska Volcano Observatory.

ResearchI am broadly interested in magma storage and ascent conditions preceding explosive volcanic eruptions, and my primary research interest is in decrypting timescales of magmatic processes recorded in crystals and glasses via volatile & trace element diffusion modeling. I use a combination of high pressure-temperature experiments, analytical techniques, and numerical modeling in my research.

Science Communication & Outreach

Outside of research, I am interested in science communication and outreach, and am involved in many community sci-comm and outreach efforts. I hope to work with other members of the MOnSTER Lab to establish enduring science outreach programs that will directly benefit the local community.
